Summer 2012

July's second design team challenge was to use a new Mosaic Moments page pattern, #60, along with Navy grid paper and one of 3 elements. I decided to use the new Summer Fun Journal Blocks free download available from Snapncrop.com. http://www.snapncrop.com/FREE-DOWNLOAD-for-Mosaic-Moments-Grid--Summer-Fun-Journal-Blocks_p_565.html

Here is the pattern

MPP12-59

My son just finished playing on a summer baseball team and I thought the page pattern and the download were perfect for some the of photos of I had of him and his team.

The letter tiles and journal block from the download are perfectly sized to fit the grid paper. I simply cut out the journal block and added  our memories of the season. I used my 1inch square punch to punch out my Summer 2012 tiles.

Nice job! The free downloads make journaling easy. I use them as much as possible.

The colors work perfectly with the navy paper. And I like how you incorporated the top row of 1" squares with the center mosaic section! And of course I love the bases too!!

The colors are perfect, and I love the bases at he top. I see everyone else did too. Wish I had had some for my baseball pages. I also like the pennant in the journaling box. Good job!

I love the photo of the team with their blue shirts and the deep blue sky in the background. And ditto the comments on the bases - They are a great detail.

Thanks for the kind comments. I found the bases at the Eyelet Outlet booth at a CKC convention a few years ago. They still have them on their website http://www.eyeletoutlet.com/baplqu.html

I love the bases, too! Nice touch. :) I also like the picture through the fence and the grass filling in around the top. Awesome layout. - I did baseball for the upcoming "summer" challenge. It's that time of year!

Oh, and where did you find the "bases". I have some umpire pages to do for my oldest son one day and that would be perfect!

Baseball, the American pastime. Action shots and team photos are a perfect memory for your son. Even his concentration in the mosaic center photo stands out! I really like how bold and bright that title is without taking away from your photos...good job, Sarah!
