Our second challenge for June included using granite grid paper and MM pattern 23, which includes a list ladder. In addition to these two specs, I also selected patterned paper and brads.
I recently took two of my granddaughters who are sisters, Shannon (9) and Shelby (6) to one of our nearby parks where they love to play. The pictures of that outing seemed to lend themselves to the granite paper, and the picture of Shelby on the slide was a good one for the narrow 2 1/8" x 6 5/8" right side pic. I had to print 5 x 7"s of both pictures on the first page, because they wouldn't be large enough otherwise. Of course I trimmed the one on the right. I also added "wood look" paper to the sides of the larger one to fill in the extra 1/2" needed to fit the grid. I used grass print paper at the bottom of both pages and cloud print paper at the top.
Shannon's top was printed with hearts, and Shelby's top was pink, so I chose to alternate red and pink heart brads for bullet points. Some of the clouds have little red hearts in them too. The descriptive words, cute, funny, happy, smart, creative, and loved! are red rub-ons. The background paper for the list looks like boards. The title is a variety of black and dark brown letter stickers.
Even though the girls are much different in many ways, I love them equally and hope they enjoy having this mosaic as part of their album this year. Of course, I have many more pictures!
