For the end of May challenge, I used Sunflower grid paper and Pattern 13, which has 9 spots with a central focus (as instructed). I guess the word "sunflower" struck a note, because I decided to use a flower theme. My husband and three friends made a trip to Kansas City to tour Powell Gardens, and I had never decided what to do with those pictures. My husband isn't in the pictures, because he was the one taking them. I was out of town and didn't make the trip with them (now I wish I had been able to go).
I chose multiple journal spots in the lower half of the first page. The central focus picture wasn't quite large enough for the specifications, so I matted it with dark brown. The horizontal center of the second page follows the same line across so there would be a good flow.
The original pictures are probably much more beautiful and vivid than they are here on Journella, but my husband is very pleased with the outcome, and our friends are anxiously awaiting their chance to see them.
One thing I really like about being on the team and participating in the challenges is that it forces me to "get inspired" and complete some projects I should have done long before now.
