In May 2010 we went on a weekend adventure to explore our great state of Arizona. We stopped at Sunset Crater National Monument, Wupatki National Monument, the Grand Canyon, and Slide Rock State Park. The kid earned their first Junior Ranger badges at Sunset Crater - and thus began our love of family weekend adventures to National Parks.
It was two years later when I finally sat down to scrapbook our pictures from the Grand Canyon! Better late than never, right?!
So, scrapbooking the Grand Canyon...
Really, can anyone take a picture that can truly match the awe inspiring beauty of seeing it in real life? We tried. But then, everyone with a camera who goes to the Grand Canyon snaps a million pictures trying to catch the special feeling you have when standing at the top of one of the Natural Wonders of the World. But the pictures always fall short.
So in the end, I decided to scrapbook our family at the Grand Canyon and not so much of the Grand Canyon itself. Most of the pictures I used have people in them.
And for journaling, I used www.wordle.net and listed some of our favorite memories in a "word cloud". (I love Wordle!)
