Smile for the camera... Pleeeese!

I took Cole and Alexis to the JC Penny that opened in Williamsburg. I take a lot of pictures; but, I wanted to have "studio" portraits taken.

Cole was an uncooperative subject. He took one look around the room and started walking out. I blocked the door to stop him. As he tried to squeeze and wiggle his way through, he told me, with a very insistent tone, that we needed to go now.

I hoped he would warm up after watching Alexis get her picture taken. It helped. He was no longer trying to push his way out of the room; however, I think I am going to need a real "kiddie portrait pro" to get him to actually smile for the camera. This little boy is one camera shy kid!

At one point in the session Kevin called from a trade show in Grand Rapids, MI. I decided to enlist his help. In this picture Cole is holding my cell phone talking (on speaker) to Kevin who is instructing him to sit down and smile. He got the sit part - the smile part, not so much.
