This year, I started preparing for Valentines Day well in advance. At the end of January I went to Target and purchased suppies: Bath Tub Crayons and chocolate hearts.
Then, I printed a bunch of I Love Yous on a sheet of cardstock.
and I used a punch to shape them into hearts.
Then I taped the hearts onto the back of the candy.
Starting February 1st, I put a candy, with I Love You message, on my kids pillows each night - to lead up to Valentines Day.
Are you wondering about those washable crayons? ... a fun way to surprise Kevin with shower messages each morning until Valentine's Day. :)
Then on the evening before Valentine's Day, Cole, Alexis and I cut out lots of hearts. We snuck over to Kevin's office and taped the hearts all over the doors and walls to give him a "heart attack" when he arrived at work the next morning.
Kevin and I shopped for Valentine cards & gifts for the kiddos. (Making Valentine's Day a special day for the kids makes it a special day for me.)
Around noon on Valentines Day, I made pink lemonade and I set the table for Valentine's lunch. (Kevin picked up burgers & fries on his way home; but, I wanted the kids to have good plates to eat them on.)
Kevin and I went out to a Valentine's Day lunch (just the two of us) at a favorite chinese buffet.
It's been a fun Valentine's.
