Home Bodies

Our first assignment for February was to create a layout of activities we enjoy doing indoors. I had my pictures all printed out and all my supplies ready to go to a crop this past weekend. Got my layout done and then I realized I had left out something really important! I hadn't followed the directions - we were supposed to use 2 1/8" squares as the main element and I didn't have a single 2 1/8" square anywhere on the layout!  Arrrghh!

So anyway, I went home, printed out some new pictures and tried again....If you'd like to see the original layout, you can go to my blog. It's sometimes interesting to see two layouts using the same pictures and supplies!

Oh Nancy! I'm so paranoid about forgetting something that I have two lists posted to remind me; one on the shelf above my main work area and the other directly in front of me at my side table where I actually do most of my work. The first has all the challenges listed in highlights and the second a direct copy of Tami's instructions! I must say what a great save you made! All your extra touches were not lost! Now you have a great story to tell too! The title is just great as your second choice!

I laughed when I read your commentary about not following directions! Haven't we all done that at one time or another! Great layout!! Love all you embellishments.

I checked "heartwarming," because it warms my heart to know that sometimes younger people make boo-boos too! Good job of recovery. Good thing you didn't wait until the last minute to submit your work. I haven't completed mine yet. I really like the colors you chose and all the embellishments.

Nice pages! Amazing how easy it is to get caught up in what we are doing and realize afterwards that we didn't follow directions. Been there, done that...

Thanks, Julie -yes I bead- I'm not great - pretty much self-taught but I like making bracelets and necklaces. I especially enjoy bead-weaving - working with seed beads, and bead embroidery. I also paint a little, and do all kinds of needlework.

Nancy your story is too funny - been there done that! Like both layouts really like the flowers. Did I read that you are a beader too?

I love your story about not following directions! What a hoot!!! Both your pages are lovely and I think your flower embellies are adorable. Great job on both your pages.
