Eric Carle Museum

On our way home from Manchester New Hampshire, We stopped at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture book Art.

This cute caterpillar quilt was hung behind the reception desk.

What a fun place. I don't usually take photos in bathrooms but, since Alexis and I were alone, check out this cute tile job:

... and talk about photo mosaic opportunities : )  There are huge paintings hung down the hallway. You know I took some photos of these!

Cole enjoyed the the toys at the museum

and Alexis enjoyed the art room. This weeks theme was positive and negative shapes (the room obviously decorated with a Matisse inspired theme.)

It was well worth the extra time to make a stop.
