On November 17, Kevin, Carla, Alexis, Cole and I took a little day trip to Port Townsend, WA. A cute little town about an hour north of Silverdale.
Carla and I found a few points of interest and snapped a few shots before we all went into town for some window shopping. There are lot of cute shops selling everything from kitchen supplies to toys.
When we discovered Carla's favorite Thai restaurant was closed on Monday, we decided to eat lunch at a restaurant called something like "the Lighthouse." We were a little uncomfortable when we entered and discovered white walls covered with Chinese fans and stuff - that didn't seem to quite fit with the name "Lighthouse." But, you know how it is, you walked in and it is a bit uncomfortable to walk back out.
Cole had to use the restroom. I took him through a rustic looking door and found myself immediately changing my attitude toward the possible discomfort of leaving. I have a rule about restaurant bathrooms (if the bathroom looks unclean - I don't eat there.) So, we left a tip for their efforts (glasses of water were poured) and politely informed the waitress/cook we had changed our minds before exiting the empty restaurant.
We all enjoyed our lunch down the street at "Fins." Carla and I split a prime rib sandwich - it was tasty. Kevin also ate the prime rib - but didn't share.
We did a little more shopping and then it was time for dessert - at the candy and ice cream shop. Carla introduced Kevin and I to a new treat - Cosmos carmel corn.
It is the best carmel corn ever!
