For this challenge, we were to chose an enjoyable location, and take pictures of details, capturing the textures.
One of my favorite places is the zoo....any zoo. Fortunately for me, the MN Zoo is only about 20 minutes from our house, and hubby and I have a membership, so we go VERY often! It's great to be able to go for an hour or two, or to see a special new exhibit, anytime we want to! I always end up with many, many photos of the animals, but this time I concentrated on the different textures. And while I did take photos of the "regular" zoo animals, I also concentrated on the textures found at the zoo farm, and around the zoo. We went yesterday again and I took many shots at the aquarium and in the butterfly farm area, but those will be for another time! For this challenge, I already ended up with a 4-page spread!
The first page is a variety of texture around the zoo...texture not found on the critters!
The entry has a variety of stone animals.
Then in the center area of the zoo is a display of metal animals.
Another section is the woodland adventure area, and of course the arch is made of wood.
The last picture on this page is the scarecrow at the entrance to the farm. I loved the straw braids!
Page 2 is from the farm.
Do you even notice how many different textures the animals have? From the fluffy bunny (and his whiskers!), to the hide and short hair of the cows, to the light little hair of the baby pig (notice the more leather skin of the momma!), to the feathers on the goose!
The other 2 pages are the "regular" zoo animals, who also have some wonderful textures!!
I love the fur of the tiger in contrast with the pads of his feet and of course his whiskers and the soft pink nose!
...and of course, I love the fuzzy little baby monkey!
The shedding of the caribou added great texture,
and I had to have one flower shot...another part of the zoo!
It's amazing how many textures can be found at the zoo...I hope you enjoy yours!
P.S.. The grid paper color is Pewter, with Bazzill's Thunder and Cyclamen Pink paper tiles used to mount a couple of the photos!
