My Grandsons step-father had cancer and they took a vacation up to Michigan upper peninsula. So I made this page to go in to the scrapbook I made him..

Beautiful job, Donna! I too love the colors...and the layout is great. I have to compliment you for cutting the photos in just the right way as to not cut through faces! :) The long strips with the 1" squares on the side (top right of page 1) is just perfect! I'm not much of a journaler either, but your title perfectly tells what, where and when. Really nice job and please join us again! :)
Great pages Donna! Sweet story, so sorry to hear he didn't make it to the wedding. Your pages are a beautiful memory though, and I too love the colors you chose. Nicely done!
Donna, thanks for sharing this touching tribute. I'm sure everyone will enjoy reliving this memory. When time is short you can't always plan for moments ahead. They will miss not having him at the wedding, but this time will be so precious! I love the tile color on the black. It carries the lake through every inch of the layout. The photos of landmarks alongside the family pics are a nice balance. The title integrated into the design leads your eye to take in all on both pages. I love it! Join us again with some Wedding pages!!
Thank you both for your comments. I'm not very good with the journal part yet.I do love making Mosaic pages.
My grandson & fiancée planned their wedding so his step-father could be there, sadly he didn't make it.The wedding is this week-end.My husband and I will be flying up to Michigan on Friday. I plan to do a page on the wedding. Thank you again for your comments. Donna Alberts
I lost my mother and stepfather to cancer. It seems that we don't know how precious life is until we are at risk of losing it. I like your choice of black Mosaic paper as your background. It beautifully frames the photos and keeps our focus on the pictures and the story. Thanks for sharin.
Donna - I love the colors you used. There is so much to see in these shots. I keep looking at them and keep seeing more and more things. The lighthouse and the top of the bridge are great shots. Great job!
