Our theme, “My Spot on the Big Blue Marble”, led me to several different conclusions. The first is that while I may have few shoes in my closet (three pair), I have a variety of footprints in my spot – ministry, household, children & grandchildren, business, etc. I’ve been working frantically to get my workroom under control, but that seems to be an ongoing battle so photos there didn’t make the cut. My country-style kitchen didn’t make the cut either since it is serving as a temporary storeroom. I’ll have more room in there after my daughter moves into her new home. I’ll be giving her the china, crystal and silver that were my mother’s and grandmother’s. I’d rather she enjoy them while I’m alive and I’m not prone to that level of entertaining anymore. That said, I decided to focus on the spot I’ve created to serve the scrapbooking and cardmaking community. On the left, I have random shots of my newly reorganized shop/studio in what one may loosely be called a “living room.” On the right are some shots of our shop on wheels – in this case we’re at our first Heirloom Productions show in West Springfield, MA. It’s my husband’s first show as well, so I had to order a chair where he could sit and be above the cash register. I’m now getting ready for our next show in two weeks – Stamp, Scrap & Art Tour in Pittsburgh, PA. My lists are our “home” shows on the left and our “away” schedule on the right.
