MMDT #11 What makes me Smile

I am a giggler, so pretty much everything makes me smile. My family tells me my laughter is contagious. This year's family reunion was a couple of weeks ago and I took photos of all the little children doing various activities. The little girls in this page design were getting their faces painted. Budding young "crafters to be" make me very happy and make me smile. This challenge was especially fun for me because I got to photograph little girls and the raspberry grid paper worked perfectly for these photos. Having two sons limits what I can do with pinks and lavender colors making this a real treat.

The elements required in this challenge included:

Raspberry Grid Paper

Page Pattern #64

Clay, Ink or Origami

I used apple green matting complimented by a very soft rose printed accent paper. For my element, I chose ink.

I used the stamp of a rose two white 2-1/8 inch squares. I inked around the squares and I chose pink and green ink for the rose. The ink is from powder puffs from Quick Quotes in the colors of pink martini and and green with envy.

I do love using brads on my pages a I just couldn't help using this adorable green butterfly with white polka dots.

Great colors, the raspberry goes well with the green. Love the photos of the girls getting face/arm painting. The stamping and that small butterfly is pretty. Awesome job! Girls just having fun :)

Great page, Dale! I love the green with the raspberry, the patterned paper is perfect, and the stamped rose adds just the right touch. That little butterfly is the perfect finishing touch! And of course the photos are absolutely adorable, too!!

Your page and your memory made me smile. I love what you've done here and how you're colors work so well together. I like the way the colors coordinated with your paper selection. And I especially like your butterfly. It adds all sorts of meaning to the fleeting moments these special memories represent in our lives.

This is a lovely page Dale - so girly. It would be great to see some journaling (on the page) to share the story (who are the girls? where were the photos taken?) Thank you for showing the detail with the ink - it is a great way to help us appreciate the details that bring the page together.

I can see how the little girls smiles were so contagious! The softer pink shades and the pops of green work well with the Raspberry Grid. I love that little butterfly, a perfect touch of cute! I can easily see how this project could make a mom of two boys smile!!
