Lincoln is Lookin' Good

The assignment for this month was to use the beautiful bamboo colored grid paper form snapncrop.com and to use pattern # 52 that looks like this:

I decided to use paper from a Quick Quotes page kit to complete this assignment. The paper collections that I used are "Choco" and "Tessa's Fairytale." I also used a quote about boys written by Patsy Gaut on a coordinating tag. Patsy writes the most beautiful passages. I will include a copy here:

There is something that makes me smile regardless of which photo of Lincoln I am looking at. It could be because he is always acting so silly or goofy. Or it could be that I am just so in love with my little guy!!!

So here it is... my little guy:

Hopefully the photo of my little guy naked and wearing my oldest daughter's boots doesn't offend anyone, but I had to include it so that I know which pages to show his high school friends and girlfriends.

I hope you enjoy this page as much as I did creating it. :)

What a personality! Your color selection sets the tone while your photos tell the story. And your little guy will be dutifully embarrassed . . . you know, you can frame your page and put it on the wall . . .

Great job, Billi! Really nice use of the tag element! I LOVE how you added the shapes into the pattern...works really well, and the patterned papers you chose are perfect! The layout is very striking. And of course, your little guy is TOO adorable!!!!

Cropping the photo and using the "leftover" too is an interesting technique!Just a tad different than Tami's on the 8"x 8"'s. Another bold color layout with great shots of your little guy. nice job!
