Bambi

Bambi is my absolute favorite Disney movie. Four this photo challenge, we were to let a Disney movie, song or lyric inspire out photos. Luckily I had some photos in my collection along with photos I took this week and I was able to bring together the characters from the movie Bambi.

I used the Mosaic Moments grid paper sunflower and the page design #20 rotated to the side. Behind my office is a patch of trees where deer come almost every day. The first day I went to take photos, I was so excited to see the deer, that I scared them away and I was unable to get photos. So, once again I drove to the area on Sunday and they were just out in an open field. The photo of my "Bambi" was taken just before the deer took off. The other three deer seemed to pose for me.

The title was done in paper tiles with each tile using one letter of the name of the movie. I used raised black sparkly letters for the title.

I downloaded the free Walter font (which I love) for the other characters' names: Thumper, Flower and Bird.

Now for the skunks, or should I say "Flowers" as Thumper calls them in the movie. These photos are older. My family and I noticed a skunk smell a lot for about a month. After some investigation, I discovered we had a skunk living under our house. I called a company that removes skunks and they set up a live trap. For bait, he used apple danish. You can see two skunks in my layout. Well, it turns out we had three skunks and one possum. It took two weeks to capture them in the traps. The photos are not really great, but I could not exactly get too close for photos.

The photo of the bunny was from my back yard a couple of weeks ago. I think he makes a perfect Thumper.
