This challenge was to choose a Walt Disney movie and let it inspire the pictures you take/use.
When I first read this challenge, I panicked. I don't have children, and I myself have not seen many Disney movies. I do have dogs, so I thought about Lady and the Tramp...nah. I've seen the Little Mermaid and love the music, but couldn't think of any photos that would fit. So I went back to basics and thought about the classics. Cinderella. A rags to riches type story.
As I sat on the couch pondering the story of Cinderella, I glanced over and saw my rescue pup, Ming, lying on the couch next to me...sound asleep...head on a pillow...covered by a blanket...not a care in the world. A little over a year ago, she was rescued from a puppy mill, where she spent more than 5 years of her life in a crate with probably little or no human contact. She's come a long way, thanks to a wonderful lady named Terri, who rescued her from the mill and fostered her until she found her forever home. Now Ming is living in the lap of luxury with her sister Risi. She has a warm bed with her name on it, she spends ZERO time in a crate unless she goes in there on her own, she gets to go shopping, she goes on walks and she's really starting to enjoy being with people. She and Risi play all day and get to sleep in their human's bed every night. Rags to riches? You decide. Here is the story of Mingerella...
For page 1, I used a slightly modified version of page pattern 19-Checker Inset Border from www.tamipotter.com. I used Spring Green grid paper and pink and blue Paper Tiles from www.snapncrop.com. The patterned paper and chipboard embellishments (hats and frog) are from the Imaginesce "Fairest of Them All" collection and the ink and stamps are from Stampin' Up! Mingerella was cut using the Storybook font (of course!) from Cricut.
Here is the journaling from page 1:
For page 2, I used a true mirror image of page pattern 19:

I hope you enjoyed viewing my layout as much as I did creating it. This was by far the toughest challenge for me yet. But I'm very happy with the way it turned out! Thanks for stopping by!
