MMDT Challenge #3

First let me appologize for the lateness of my post.  I'm hoping this layout will help explain my life for the last few months. I've been a soccer mom and I've been a football mom, but these don't come close to being a WRESTLING MOM!  Wrestling season is long and takes so much dedication.  Practices run 2 hours a night plus there are 2 meets a week.  6 days a week from early November to February.

Our first challenge for February was to use the brick grid paper which was perfect for a wrestling page since our school colors are Maroon, white and light blue.
We were supposed to use pattern 37 as well as one of 3 elements (free download, paper tiles or cornerstones), I chose to use the calendar download from snapcrop.com so I could mark the dates of our meets and who where we were.  I also chose to use the ivory, Caribbean blue & tropical breeze paper tiles to bring in some extra color while still staying with the school colors.  I had a set of 3D wrestling chipboard stickers that were just perfect for the page.

In the two boxes underneath the wrestling figures are two of my favorite wrestling quotes

"Once you have wrestled, everything else in life is easy"

"The first period is strength, the second is conditioning and the third is heart"

These boys and girls put their hearts and souls into this demanding sport and I am so proud to say my son is a WRESTLER!!!

As always I had to do a double page layout so for the 2nd page I flipped the pattern to create a mirror image.  I hope you enjoy my page!

This is one of those layouts that your children will look at in years to come with great joy. You captured every aspect of the wrestling experience from your perspective as well as from your son's perspective. Good job.

Nice layout especially like the hand written quote. Like the calendars as a bonus. Great school spirit you both should be proud!

Loved the use of the school colors - and I really must go find that calendar! I scrap mostly in chronological order and a calendar would be perfect. Great job!

Kudos to mom for wearing commitment so comfortably and documenting it with excellence. What better example can we set for our families. The colors work, the calendars speak, and the photos present the well-deserved pride you have in your son. Good job.

The calendar on each page is a great way to convey your busy schedule! One of my brothers was a wrestler (HS & College.) He feels very passionate about the character that is built by the sport. You have good reason to be proud. :)

Tonnya, this is a very nice and clean layout. You've got great photos and embellishments to compliment the wrestling meets. Documenting their schedule and including some quotes and you've got a winning layout. I'm sure your son will love this forever! You've got a winner!
