In this case, DANG is not a muttered frustration. Instead, it stands for Delaware Air National Guard. This page shares a not-so-ordinary event at the 2011 Delaware National Guard Retired Officers' picnic at General Butterworth's home in Maryland. The General had the field across from his waterfront home mowed to accommodate the arrival of one of his guests. That guest flew to the gather in this light aircraft that he constructed from a kit. Of course, being an event for fliers, almost everyone gathered the pilot and bombarded him with questions. All too soon, he had leave. I wanted to capture his departure as well as the general configuration of the field. I was quite happy with the results since I subscribe to the notion that if you take enough pictures, you're bound to end up with a few good ones. As for the osprey in the upper right hand corner, my husband and I saw it as we were driving home from the party. I couldn't resist including that image to this page. It just seemed to fit. This was the first layout I completed after taking Tami's classes.
