Pumpkins - A Memory Prompt

Screen shot 2012-09-06 at 1.22.39 PM

My First Five thoughts/memories:

1.The first time I took my girls to the pumpkin patch I dressed them in denim overalls. (They were so cute!) They played with a pumpkin bean bag toss and climbed on bales of hay. Great fun - good memory.

2. It just isn't fall without that old favorite -  "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown."

3. I've tried to grow my own pumpkins - so far I've had no luck but I will try again!

4. In 5th grade I entered a pumpkin carving contest (pretty much every kid in the 5th grade did it.) I was so excited until I got to school and saw the other kids with their "parent-help" carved pumpkins. Mine didn't look so good after all.

5. When my oldest daughter was little I called her pumpkin pie.

What were the first five "pumpkin" thoughts that came to your mind?

Great post. To an authentic 5th grade carver, who had the satisfaction of doing it all by yourself! Well done! I've found that pumpkin seeds grow where you want them the least. LOL!

Celebrating Halloween is something new to us and we are going to celebrate this always then because one of my girl was born on this day! Love this pumpkin entry!

Love this photo. I went out last fall taking photos of pumpkins, but what I found was less than perfect pumpkins. The pumpkins in this photo are really great.
