The Challenge for June required using our featured Granite 12x12 Grid paper, now on sale, MMpattern #23 and our choice of one or more of these elements:
For this Challenge I am using patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Inc.'s Boys Only Collection (the lined paper is the reverse side of the paperclip patterned paper) and brads that happened to match, sort of, from my stash. Also, I have used a sheet of adhesive cork from Canvas Home Basics, and metal letters...I've had so long, I'm not sure who made them (sorry!). And special LEGO shaped brads, that I used for the photos of him and his creations. At the top of the pages I've used a charcoal gray ribbed cardstock.

June's Challenge #1 had me presenting the serious side of my youngest son, Andrew. I had many things assembled that started me thinking of more than one approach to that assignment. As I did, I thought I would just continue on in this challenge with a different look, this time at the things that he enjoys and identifying his lighter side...the "fun guy", or as he says...Isabella's "fun Uncle".
Here's the list I've included with a few editorial comments to explain:
What I've created here was a little unorthodox for the Mosaic Moments Grid pattern #23. When I looked at the pattern, I saw a lot of space that could become a message board to show off some of the things Andrew enjoys and a perfect way to use a sheet of adhesive cork I purchased recently. I photocopied cartoons, tickets and programs and miniaturized them to attach with brads (and the occasional french knot of aqua floss to secure others. The downfall of the cork is that things do not attach too well. I tried a few things and finally got them to stick with glue dots, but the brads and floss really helped! I had paperclips that matched in my office supplies, so thought I'd attach a few photos that way too.
This is a peek at the things he enjoys presented in a way that he might if he had a board to post on. The haphazard look is a a bit out of my comfort zone (my cork board is very organized, a bit OCD, I'll admit)...so I have had to rely on the examples that the girls have in their room.

The second page I decided to eliminate the area for the list and just make it the full width of board.
This will hopefully be a page in his scrapbook that will give him a glimpse back at things in his life, when he's old enough to have forgotten the things that filled his life when he was a kid.
Thanks so much for stopping by...
